Chapter 41-44

In chapter fourty-one, Thomas then ran to the Map room to see if anything was salvageable but instead he saw Alby on the floor and everyone around him. They said that he was in the fire and someone got him out. Thomas was trying to get Newt and Minho to free Teresa and listen to her idea. Once they listened to her idea they revealed a secret which was that they hid the maps. Newt explained that ever sense Alby told him the warning about protecting the maps.
Newt and Minho took them to a secret shed where they kept the Maps. Thomas’ plan included the entire supply of wax paper and pencils. The plan was that they would cut out a rectangle the size of one section and draw out what the maze looked like on that day and do it again with the same piece for the rest of the sections. When all eight sections were complete the most overlapped lines formed the letter ‘F’.
They continued this experiment till the next day and maintained the order of the words created. So far they have gotten the words FLOAT and CATCH. Minho still wanted every runner to be in the maze and see if that day could be a part of a significant code.
In chapter 44, Thomas was running in the maze he was trying to see if he could also communicate with Teresa. At first he didn’t get a response from her but the second time he tried it, Teresa responded and was surprised that he could do it.
I think it was pretty smart of Newt and Minho to hide the maps especially since Alby warned them after his Changing. I also want to know who would burn down the map room and why? The idea that Thomas and Teresa came up with was pretty smart and the fact that they succeeded seemed great and they might be a step closer to getting out of the maze. I was wondering while I was reading if Thomas could also be telepathic and send messages to Teresa and why can only those two do it and not the other Gladers.
