In the first chapter Thomas, the main character, finds himself in a new place called Glade but he doesn’t remember his past, anything else about him, or the people around him. I can sort of relate myself with Thomas in the sense that he’s in a new place and he doesn’t know anyone, I felt like that when I moved to my new school and I didn’t know anyone. I also like the way the author has included made up words such as shank, klunk, and greenie. I also like how as soon as Thomas started calming down a little bit something goes wrong and how by fourth chapter he makes an enemy and sees the dark side to Glade. At least Thomas has also made new friends like Chucky, Alby, and Newt.
